Bumblebee

Or as Sadie says..."bum bum bee". Took Sadie to the park today for a little Halloween costume photo shoot. I wasn't as pleased this year with the results. What's up with the park people raking up all the leaves? We had to go to a different park. The leaves there weren't as big & beautiful. Sadie would not hold still. She made her way to this gazebo in the middle of the park & that became her own personal stage to dance on. Came out of it with a few cute shots, though.

Conversations With Shrek

Sadie was talking to her new dollar store Shrek cup in the van while driving home.

When she didn't want to part with Shrek at nap time, I let her take the cup with her to bed. Kids are silly.

Counting My Blessings

*So very thankful to my Heavenly Father for the blessing of getting through my morning sickness. I feel like I'm back in the land of the living. Much, much earlier than I did when I was pregnant with Sadie. I'm loving life. I'm cooking dinners, doing my housework & going grocery shopping. It's a happy, happy time.

*I love my eternal family unit. Overjoyed to spend my life with two of the smartest & most fun people in the world. Excited for more smart & fun little ones to join our crew. I love how happy we are when everybody is home. I love how both Sadie & I miss Dylan when he's had a long day at school & work. And when she's gone to bed before he's come home at night, she wants to see him first thing when she wakes up in the morning. I love how Dylan & I cannot hug each other or lay on the couch together without Sadie immediately running over to get in the middle of it.

*In love with Sadie's warm little body when she wakes up in the morning or from an afternoon nap. Especially her neck...so warm & soft. I could stick my face in there and kiss it forever. Always very grateful when she wants her momma to hold her for a little. We pray every night for her health & safety and then do the very best we can to protect her. So thankful for Heavenly Father's protection. I don't know that I'd ever sleep at night without that. I'm too much of a worrier.

*Thankful for the season. Making homemade chicken noodle soup for dinner tonight. Looking forward to a day of making Halloween sugar cookies. Taking Sadie to the park with all the colorful leaves to take photos of her in her costume. Drinking hot chocolate. Thinking about Christmas & projects to work on.

These are some big ones. Trying to be more observant & hoping to have more to post soon.

The Best Birthday Present Ever!

Check out this book that Dylan made me. He made the entire thing! (Yes, I will be bringing this down to Vegas to show it off.) It's a photo a day journal. Each page will fit a 4x6 photo either vertical or horizontal & then gives me space to journal by it as well. It's gorgeous. I didn't want to put it down...wanted to hold it forever. Cause it's mine. Nobody out there has an album like this. I love it! Thanks Dyl. You're a super awesome artist.







Thanks to everybody that called or stopped by & made my birthday really great. I was a little scared of 27. Felt a little like I'd turn into an old lady. But I'm here & I'm the same & I had a great day!

Rainy Day

It's been raining quite a bit lately, but still, I can't help opening the windows & staring at it for a little bit. It's that girl in me that was born & raised in Las Vegas.

I will get back to posting blogs sometime soon....I promise. I'm feeling a little overwhelmed this week. Some stress associated with preparations for the primary program & our upcoming trip to Vegas.

I wish I could say that I'm feeling better, but I still have some pretty miserable times. Looking forward to the day when it all goes away. Also really, really, really looking forward to seeing my momma. Does it ever go away that when you're sick you want your mom?

Sadie is a handful, but also very fun & just adorable. I am in love with those big eyes of hers....& when she smiles....her teeth....oh I could just die.

Lately we've been asking her if she's going to have a brother or a sister. She always says "brudder". I go back to the doctor this Thursday. A little anxious for that, hope all is well. I don't know why I'm so much more paranoid this time around.
