Almost Naked

Gee whiz....is it already time to buy a turkey? Why do I have no excitement for Thanksgiving this year? Perhaps because it's just going to be us at home. All I can think about is all the work & my kitchen is kinda crappy. Not a fun "let's cook a huge meal!" kinda kitchen.

Oh well....let's get on with it so we can get going with the good holiday. Oooh. Just as I said that I started to feel stressed.

Don't stress about Thanksgiving, then. I'm sure you could all be satisfied with a simplified, delicious Thanksgiving dinner...and you'd enjoy it more, too!

You've reminded me that I have a tree out front that is screaming for a photo!
We already had our Thanksgiving (Canada!!) - maybe you could try to pick things that you can do in advance and make everything else simple. Try to find a way to enjoy it - you deserve a beautiful Thanksgiving.

I totally agree with you about Thanksgiving! If you can't have a huge dinner with tons of family, what's the point. It's not like my little kids are going to appreciate all the work I went to! This isn't really a great pep talk, but I do get where you are coming from, and I feel your pain!!

I am not looking forward to it either. Nick is working all night the night before and on Thanksgiving night, so he will be sleeping as I cook the whole meal, wake up, eat, and go back to work. I am trying to be in the "Thanksgiving" mood, but it's really hard!

The leaves on that tree are so pretty. I love the color. Something you don't really see in LV.

I agree Thanksgiving '04 was fun! The food was great too. I remember getting excited about coming home and trying to make your homemade noodles and I still haven't. Maybe this year I should try it with the turkey left overs.
