Sorry your feelin' down!

Hope your day improves. The good people on the internet will help. Here's a joke.

It was a beautiful, sunny Sunday afternoon while Moses, Jesus, and another guy were out playing golf. On the first tee-box, Moses pulls out his driver and blisters a shot up the right side of the fairway, rolling fast towards a water hazard. Moses quickly raised his club, parting the water while his ball rolls through to the other side safely.

Next up on the tee, Jesus hits a really long drive right towards the very same water hazard. His ball came to rest dead center of the pond, hovering just over the surface of the water. Jesus casually walks out onto the pond, and chips it up onto the green within a couple feet of the flagstick.

Not impressed, the third guy steps up to the tee without taking any time and just randomly whacks at the ball. Rightfully so, the ball is hit with a nasty hook that clears the left OB markers and goes over a fence into oncoming traffic. It bounces off a truck's windshield hitting a nearby tree, bounces onto the roof of the greenkeeper's shed, back out onto the fairway and towards the same pond that Moses and Jesus hit. Before it gets wet, the ball ricochets off a small rock and bounces onto a lily pad on over the water when a bullfrog jumped up and ate the ball. Right at that moment, a bald eagle swoops down and grabs the frog, flying away. As it flew over the green, the frog squeals with fright and drops the ball right next to the flagstick, taking one bounce and landing in the cup for an astounding hole in one.

In disgust, Moses then turns to Jesus and says, "I hate playing with your Dad."

I'm sorry to hear you are having a bad day.
I have been having some bad days lately too.

I've been listening to She and Him Volume Two a lot lately
and eating watermelon, apples and dark chocolate. I like to balance everything out. Sometimes even an hour alone at the garden center if you can manage it- flowers are the best.

I truly love these fabrics you are giving away. I made a quilt from vintage sheeting last Spring and if I win I have some projects in mind for these.
It is so sweet of you to offer them up. I'm sure the goodness will return to you.

Yep, that's it. You didn't miss anything. There's no double meaning, but to watch a 4-year-old say it like it's the funniest thing in the world...that makes it funny.

Other things that energize me when I feel blue: cleaning out a closet, going thrift shopping, getting a slushie, reading People magazine, and getting lost in a new sewing project.

Hope your day gets cheerier. Here's a joke that I giggle at every time I hear it.

Joe and Edna were an old married couple that have been married for about 50 years when they went to the county fair. Joe sees a helicopter giving rides and he turns to Edna and says "Edna! Let's go take a helicopter ride! I've always wanted to take a helicopter ride and I've never gotten to do it so lets go have a helicopter ride!"
Edna say's "Joe, that helicopter ride is $50! We can't afford that helicopter ride! $50 bucks is $50!"
Joe says "Edna! I'm 75 years old and if I don't take this helicopter ride right now I will never get another opportunity to!" Edna say's "$50 bucks is $50 bucks!"

Joe and Edna go back and forth like this for a few minutes, and the whole time the pilot of the helicopter is just standing there listening. Finally he walks over to Joe and Edna and says "Ok folks, I'll make you a deal. I'll take you up in the helicopter and give you a helicopter ride for free, but if there is one scream, one word, ONE SOUND coming from either one of you, you owe me $50 for the ride." Joe and Edna agree to the deal and go up in the helicopter.

During the ride the pilot starts to take it easy, but no sounds come from Joe and Edna. So the pilot figures that he is gonna get some kind of sound from them, so he starts doing every stunt he can think of. He goes sideways, up, down, in circles...he does EVERYTHING he can think of to get Joe and Edna to make a sound. Finally he lands the helicopter and Joe gets out and he says "Wow, that was amazing!" The pilot says "You guys did really well, I tried everything to get you to yell or scream or something and there was nothing! Not a peep! I guess the ride is on me!"

Joe says "Well, I was gonna say something when Edna fell out, but, after all, $50 bucks" is $50 bucks!"

Don't have a joke today... but I do have this:

When I was in High School, I joined the color guard (the tall flags/wooden guns at the front of the marching band). We would get to school at 5:00am to practice out on the football field... it was SO COLD (and very dark)! Then, the sun would come up, a new day would start, and it was beautiful.

I learned a lot being in the color guard... how to spin a flag and toss a rifle, I learned teamwork... and I learned that it is always darkest and always coldest right before an amazing sunrise.

Hope this can cheer you up!

A man and his wife are awakened at 3 o'clock in the morning by a loud pounding
on the door. The man gets up and goes to the door where a drunken stranger stands in the pouring down rain.

"Can you give me a push?" he asks while hanging onto the door frame.

"Not a chance" says the husband -- "It's 3 o'clock in the morning!". He slams the door and returns to bed.

"Who was it?" asks his wife.

"Just some drunk wanting a push" he answers.

"Did you help him?" she asks.

"No, I didn't -- it's three in the morning and raining like crazy out."

"Well, you have a short memory" says his wife. "Can't you remember about three months ago when we broke down on vacation and those two strangers helped us? I think you should help him."

The man does as he is told and gets dressed and goes out into the pounding rain and calls out into the dark, "Hello, are you still there?"

"Yes," comes the answer.

"Do you still want a push?" calls out the husband.

"Yes, please!" comes the reply from the dark.

"Where are you?" asks the husband.

"Over here on the swing!" the drunk replies.

I have been loving the song Spanish Pipedream by the Avett Brothers. It is originally a John Prine song. I cannot seem to find the Avett Brother version, but here is the song! :)
I hope you enjoy it!

i hope you're feeling happier after all these comments! there are so many!

something that's making me happy right now are the old spice commercials. especially his personal replies to people's tweets on twitter. i still have a bunch to watch, but when i need a laugh, i just watch a couple.

This morning I was on the phone with a friend when I realized the boys were being rather quiet. When I went to check on them, my youngest was just in the living room, sticking his tongue out and making funny noises, completely amused. It reminded me it doesn't take much to be joyful.

I am sorry you are having a bad day - here is a joke my 4 year old tells to cheer me up.

Why does the chicken cross the playground?
To get to the other slide!!!

I don't know if it is the joke, or the fact that she completely cracks herself up when she tells it, but it always cheers me up!!!

Feel better soon!

I'm so sorry you were having a yucky day. I hope it is getting better! :)
Something to make you smile...yesterday, my boys were looking at an I SPY type book and my one son said: "mom, wouldn't it be neat if this book were real and we could just jump into it?"...and all I could think was "yes, son, it would!" :)

Again, I Hope you are smiling now and I hope you have a lovely rest of your week!

Love the fabric.
Here's the not funny that leads to the funny. Went on vacation and came back the puppy chewed a hole in the leather couch. Put a mothball in the hole in a baggie and she hasn't touched it again. Here's the funny. Daughter comes in the house saying it smells like a potta port when she was trying to say a porta-potty

We just had my baby's pictures taken last weekend, he was teething and there were some very, um, unhappy ones! This is my favorite 'I'm so pissed' photo! Maybe it's because he's mine but I think it's hilarious and adorable - hope it gives you a smile!

Wow, awesome giveaway. More importantly, I love that you asked for cheering up from us. I was just sent this clip and laughed out loud, it is called "Dad Life" and it is on YouTube. I tried to copy and paste the link here, but it just will.not.paste. Sorry about that, but I hope you see it and enjoy!
