Confession

I often feel very guilty that there are always chicken nuggets for my kids in the freezer.  But then I think about how it's one of the few things that Claire will actually eat these days (dipped in ketchup + ranch) and I just don't care anymore.  There it is.  Now the whole world knows my dirty little secret.

Also, we don't often have this many bags of them on hand.  They were just on sale this week.  On sale + a coupon = me stockpiling.

Have a dirty little secret you'd like to get off your chest today?

Whatever it takes to get a toddler to eat...it worth it! Confession: Today's my son's birthday and I am not prepared! I usually have his present ready to go, but not this year. I know part of it is that I'm in denial of him turning 10.

have you tried boca nuggets? my kids LOVE them. and me too, since i don't eat meat. i try to alternate between boca and chicken since they are definitely a staple in our house, too, as much as i hate to admit it.

oh, and i had cheesecake for breakfast.

I love that you shared this. It's funny what we have hang-ups about as moms, isn't it? Don't worry--we just bought a huge pack of dinosaur shaped nuggets from Costco. And they've had some every day for lunch since.

I thought my kids were the only ones that liked ketchup and ranch mixed. And you just made me think that maybe I want to keep those on hand. that's something Jack would eat and right now he's really picky.

We always have chicken nuggets on hand and......Kraft Mac and Cheese *GASP* I am a horrible mother! LOL Oh well...my kids also love broccoli and brussel sprouts and eat them all the time.

Costco had some really good nuggety type of things a while back. The were Tyson chicken tenders. They were raw, so they took longer to cook. But they were the actual breast tender and not re-formed chicken. Unfortunately our Costco hasn't had them in stock for a while.

Well, I'd share a picture of my kitchen sink (if I can find it) but I'd rather not be that open with my flaws! hee hee
My 3-year-old loves chicken nuggets too. And plain hamburger patties. What else can I do, make her starve??

You go, mama. I like to eat healthy, and I like to try to get my kids to eat healthy, but there comes a point where you just have to start throwing the Twinkies at em.

I love it! My confession? I just ate a whole sleeve of shortbread cookies and had Rolos, too. I also could take a picture of my whole house as a dirty secret. I'll spare you, though.

Hate for you to see my deep freezer in the garage! Chicken nuggets are poy-fectly fine to have stocked in your freezer! Next to the 5 boxes of It's It! Not that I have them in there...

I had a chocolate bar last night, six chocolate chip cookies today (at least,) and another chocolate bar today...this was although I ate no breakfast or lunch either day. Stress makes me crave chocolate, so shoot me lol

haha, we have those little cocktail frankfurts like a bazillion times a week - my son LOVES them, and i let him...i must also confess that i have allowed him to have sweet biscuits for breakfast on occasion :O terrible...but you know what, i don't care either cause i love my kids, they love me and we live happily and heathily for the most part and that's all that matters.

Barak likes to tease me that if I were perfect I'd already be in heaven and he doesn't want to be here alone. My confession? Since Rosie's birth I've put on a movie(s) for Caleb every morning and gone back to bed. I usually get up around 9 or 10. Maybe I'm admitting this one though because it's me New Years Res.

We went through a phase with the boys where they would only eat corn dogs (with chicken nuggets thrown in by force sometimes) so we had them in stock always. Now, fortunatly it takes a good 3-4 weeks to get through the 24 count box (and that's with 3 kids).
I don't have any other dirty little secrets to share unless having ramen noodles for breakfast counts- me, not the kids :)

Licorice all-sorts...you know the black licorice candies? My mom sends me home with a sandwich bag from time to time... I hide them with my baking supplies and have 5 pieces a day til their gone :O
Good thing it's just a sandwich baggie and not an extra large freezer bag...

Haha! I like this post. I feel strongly about nutrition for children and it just seems that they ALL go through this stage. A hungry child is no fun, so whatever gets them to eat. I always have gnocchi on hand. Like zero nutritional value, but when she has a picky day, she'll still be nice and full. I don't want to argue about food. She love chicken nuggets too, but for some reason, won't eat them at home. Otherwise my freezer would look the same. :)
