Hello There Bump

I've felt a little hesitant about writing about my pregnancy.  I guess I'm a little gun shy because of what happened with my last pregnancy.  Everything does seem to be moving along a lot smoother this time around & my belly is growing larger than it did with the last, so I'll take those as good signs that I should not be afraid.

Speaking of the growing belly.  I cannot believe how quickly my bump has arrived this time around.  I am one day shy of 14 weeks in the photo above.  I do not remember showing this early with Sadie & Claire's pregnancies.  After feeling really depressed about it for a while, I started asking around & all my experienced mommy friends are telling me that this is quite common with your third pregnancy & on.  My uterus has been stretched quite nicely a few times before & so I guess it knows exactly what to do this time around.  So I've given up & started wearing some maternity clothes.

I am starting to see some progress with my morning sickness easing up & regaining a bit of my energy.  I started cooking dinners again!  I'm way out of practice, but making meals for my family makes me feel like such a good wife & mother.  :)

I'm hoping to get back to sewing really soon.  I sure miss it.

Thank you, thank you for all your kinds words & congratulations about the pregnancy.  I know many of you have been around with me for a while & know the struggle it's been.  Thank you.  I hope to write more about what I believe to have been the cure to our period of infertility, or rather the way in which God answered our prayers soon.

In the mean time, please just tell me that I'm not that ginormous for being only 14 weeks pregnant.  Please.  :)

Super cute bump! And not ginormous at all -- and even if it does get really big, who cares, you're growing a baby in there!

I was SO surprised at how quickly I got big with my second. It's cool though, that is the best part of being pregnant is the little belly and not having to suck in. I always put on my maternity pants way early because who doesn't want to wear elastic pants every day??

Really, I was much more "obvious" than you at 14 wks with my first, and then less with my 2nd. Each baby settles in and makes itself at home in different directions :) keep trusting, God is with you.

You are so beautiful, God bless!

I am also pregnant (21 weeks) and I was bigger then you are at 14 weeks, so hopefully that makes you feel better. It's true, with each pregnancy, I seem to show more and more quickly. And in reality, if your belly pops out so early on, it's because you're so skinny that the baby has no where to go but out. Yep. It's true. So believe it! :D

I am 22 weeks along with my third baby and I am HUGE! We had to tell our family and friends just before Chirstmas because (earlier than I wanted to) because I was having trouble hiding it. :) Congratulations!!!

At 14 weeks with my third I was big enough for people to feel brave enough to ask me when I was due (with the others it was easy to keep it a secret for the first 12 weeks ... not possible with #3 because of the bump!). It definitely is a third baby thing~

you better stop! seriously. this is the most gorgeous beautiful happy wonderful picture I have ever seen of you!! ARE YOU CRAZY?!?! I WIIIIIIIIIIIISH I ever even get a "bump", I go from beer belly to beach ball and miss out on the whole bump stage!!! you look amazing! so get that smirk off your face and SMILE dang it!! This is YOUR BABY growing in there!!!! HAPPY HAPPY DAY! You are not allowed to be depressed now- wait till about three months or (EIGHT months for some....) then you'll be holding your little miracle all safe and sound THEN you can feel depressed cause eating whatever you want is no longer and exercising is a MUST- poop!

I just looked back at my pics around 14 weeks with my third baby, and my stomach was also that size. I remember feeling that same way.

You look fantastic though! I can't imagine going through a pregnancy after a loss and having the worry that comes along with it.

You look lovely! I had to start wearing some maternity stuff as soon as 8 weeks with my fourth, it as 12 with my 3rd...I think you are very normal. :)

No ... you are not big for 14 weeks! I was the same with my 3rd pregnancy, I started showing very early, and was pretty big near the end ... but well worth it! :)

Congrats to you all!!! As you get further along I MUST photograph you. I just had the thought this morning after I commented on your FB photo. But this is an even better reason.
And you are perfect!

I feel the same. I could not believe how big I got so fast this time around. I usually am small anyway - I didn't wear maternity clothes until 6 months with Ana, and now at 20 weeks I'm already in them. Tons of my friends said #3 did the same thing, but they also said that they didn't really end up any bigger in the end. They just got big faster. I'm glad I'm not the only one!

Alright, so I happen to love a pregnant tummy, there is nothing sweeter! But you are right, the third one just pops right out. I think the day I found I out I was pregnant with my third, my pants decided to feel tight :) Congratualtions, you look beautiful!

I DO NOT know how I missed the post about you bring pregnant, but I am so happy for you guys! You look adorable and are NOT ginormous at all!!

I popped out like that with my third too. I know other people who barely show, but it was always obvious with me. Congratulations on the pregnancy!

You are not that big at all! I'm pregnant with our 2nd child, 28 weeks in. It seems like everyone has been telling me how huge I am since day 1!!! People's social filters really come off when talking to a pregnant woman. What's with that? Another pregnant woman in my ward has actually said to me, "I'm so glad you're fatter than I am! Can I take a picture of you to prove to my mom that I'm not the biggest pregnant person ever?" And I'm a thin person, just with a big belly. Sheesh. So chin up, you look good!

You are Not too big for 14wks. At my 1st appointment I was 15 weeks and when the doctor looked at me he said- "are you sure you're just 15wks it looks a bit more like 18/19 to me" US showed baby at 14/5. This is old hat for your uterus so it will get really big really fast but by 25wks or so it will slow down and you'll start to worry cause you're not growing much-- but have no fear, baby just has a lot of excess space to start filling up. I'm at 30wks now and feel like there's no way there can only be one baby in this belly.
I'm so thrilled that you are willing to take us on this journey with your family. We all love you and are praying for this miracle baby. Having gone through 3 losses I understand the fears that come along with a new pregnancy. but God is SOOO Good!
Praying for peace and health for you and this new little one.

You look beautiful! That adorable baby bump makes me want a third child :) Oh, and just for the record, I got really big, really fast with my second. So yeah, I think that's normal after the first. I hope so anyway!

I love the baby bump. I think it's nice to show a little sooner so it's obvious you're pregnant and not just gaining weight :) You look great and I'm glad you're feeling better too.

You look *beautiful*!!

I have three kids, and with both the 2nd and especially the 3rd pregnancy, I seemed to "pop" right away. In each case I had a great, big belly -- crazy big by the very end!! -- and in each case I had a fairly small but very healthy baby.

You look very slender to me...but even when we put on a little extra padding through a pregnancy it just serves to give us some reserves for the immediate postpartum period -- when you really need it :)
In my experience: breastfeeding seems to take care of (make use of) any extra weight...and even though it took a little longer for me the last time around (about 1 year), I still ended up losing all the weight while feeding on demand, eating well, and not worrying about it. Enjoy!!
