Summer Market Recap

We did it! We survived. It was a nice hot, sticky day. I had a lot of fun interacting with all the customers & I was so pleased with each sale. In all I had a great time & really enjoyed hearing the comments that people would make about my goods.

I love my family. They were such great helpers & so supportive.

Dylan designed these posters that will also be available in the etsy shop soon. They're awesome!

My super professional cash box.

And my view across the way. This couple had the right idea.

It was a great fair. Very well organized & there were lots of other really great, quality vendors. I am happy to have been a part of it. Thanks to all of you for so much positive support along the way. I 'm feeling that a giveaway is in order, because you guys seriously are the best. Watch for that soon. I have a lot of remaining stock as well so watch the etsy shop for updates.

On the drive out to the park, with the van all loaded up & kids in tow, Dylan told me that no matter what happened I should be proud of myself...and you know what, I am. :)

Business Cards

Dylan made up my business cards & I love them. This was the first set. I think he adjusted the colors so that they are a little easier to read for the next round of printing. The floral print on the back is from a vintage sheet, of course. I've never had a business card before, so I'm thinking this is all pretty cool.

We will be up tomorrow bright & early to go set up for the market. Hard to believe the day is finally coming. We are oh so ready for it, though. Everything is packed up & ready to go. Today I must focus on cleaning my house & doing some grocery shopping. Tomorrow we work, work, work & then on Sunday I hope there is time for a long nap. :)

If any blog readers come out to the market, please be sure to say hello. I would love to meet you!

Quilted

Finished another quilt for the market this Saturday. I used vintage florals again but added in some linen & seersucker. It is so soft and perfectly wrinkly & I love it with all my heart.

Last night I did get some sewing in but Dylan cut me off at 10:00. Then I still didn't manage to get to sleep until midnight because we were laying in bed talking up a storm. Too much anxiety over this show & all that needs to get done still. One thing we talked about was how I should price these quilts. Any suggestions?

Tote Bags

A pile of tote bags ready to go.

Thanks for all the comments on yesterday's crazy events. I'm getting used to this short haired girl & I actually kinda like the cut on her....minus the really chopped off spots here & there that just couldn't be covered up. It is what it is.

I somehow managed to pull a muscle in my shoulder yesterday, then I agitated it by cutting up a storm & pulling a quilt through my sewing machine over & over last night. The week has only just begun & it's already insane. I'm telling myself that it will get better & trying to make myself take a night off from sewing. We'll see what I do when the night rolls around. My anxiety may just get the best off me & I'll be hunched over that machine again tonight.

Vintage Maps Wooden Blocks

1-3/4" wooden blocks decorated with vintage maps in three colorways. I initially thought these would be used just for decor, but they are non-toxic & a great size for little hands...so they could be used for play as well. I'm happy with how these turned out & Dylan helped me a ton. Thanks, Dyl.

Still Working

Here are a few more pillows made from Target dishtowels.

I'm still chugging along...getting ready for the summer market, which it is only 9 days! Yikes! Starting to stress out a little over here. I'm pleased with all that I've been able to accomplish over the last few weeks, though. It's okay to be proud of myself, right?

I'm also excited for it to be over with. My house can use a good cleaning & I've got a new crafty idea that's been kicking around in my head since May. It's ready to come out & I'm more than ready to get started on it. The summer market has been great for me so far (we'll see how the actual show goes). I'm in such a great creative groove right now. :) It's all good.

Grocery Bag Dispensers

So I seriously debated whether or not I would make these. I mean are they along the same lines as the toilet paper barbie dolls or the lawn statue goose clothing?? But I wanted a new one for myself & if Cath Kidston sells them, then they're cool right?

Reversible Headbands

I've tried every one of these on & I love them all. I guess if none of them sell then I can be okay with that. :)

Bird On My Pillow

Another item I'd like to keep for myself. :) The fabric for this pillow is a cloth napkin found on clearance at Target. I think I need to go back & see if I can find anymore before they're all gone.

Floral Patchwork Baby Quilt

All the squares were cut from vintage pillowcases. I'm still afraid of doing a binding so I just enveloped this. It's a summer quilt so in place of batting I used a layer of flannel. I love, love, love this quilt & am feeling quite sad that I'm selling it rather than keeping it. It would go perfectly with my girls' room & would be such a nice 'on the go' blanket, since it's not real bulky.

Happy 4th of July!

I made this bunting with a little boy's room in mind, but isn't it fitting for today?

We are enjoying a really beautiful 70 degree day. Went to the parade this morning....barbecue & fireworks later today. Hope you are having a lovely holiday.

Got a batch of these tote bags done. Some with doilies & some with frayed flowers. All with fun fabric linings.

Flag Bunting

Progress has not been as speedy this week. I do feel a crafting surge coming on, however.
